Research Interests

I am a Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Dr. Anton Nekrutenko at the Centre for Comparitive Genomics and Bioinformatics, Penn State University. My current work focuses on analysis of metagenomic DNA to contrast eukaryotic species diversity between distinct geographical location. In addition I am also building tools to enhance visualization of metagenomic data. My past work included analysis of known mammalian genes with overlapping reading frames and studying sequence signatures of predicted human genes with the potential of encdoing two proteins using overlapping reading frames.
