Meetings

Meetings are normally held on the second Sunday of each month, in room 123 of Headhouse #1 on Penn State University's main University Park campus. Most of the year they start at 2:00 pm, but in the winter (January - March) they are moved up to 1:00 pm.

A typical meeting includes a business meeting, a program presentation, a show table (where members bring in their blooming plants and we vote for our favorites), refreshments, and time to socialize. Often members bring plants to sell or trade as well.

The July meeting is traditionally replaced by a picnic at someone's home (including a tour of their greenhouse or growing area), and the December meeting is replaced by a holiday luncheon at a local restaurant and features an invited speaker. An annual plant auction is held at the September meeting (in lieu of a presented program), with proceeds shared between the sellers and the club.

We are always in need of programs. If you would like to present one, please contact Shirley Dunkelberger to sign up.
