Wed Mar 28 2007 -- Nekrutenko Lab -- (topic to be announced)
Wed Mar 21 2007 -- Cathy Riemer -- Viewing MAF Alignments with Gmaj
| Public release (with docs): | http://globin.bx.psu.edu/dist/gmaj/ |
| Latest beta version: | http://www.bx.psu.edu/~cathy/gmaj.beta/gmaj.jar |
| Applet test page: | http://globin.bx.psu.edu/java/gmaj/demotest.html |
| PipHelper: | http://pipmaker.bx.psu.edu/piphelper/ |
A few things I forgot to mention:
- To run Java applets in Firefox on a Linux computer, you might need to add a symbolic link in Firefox's plugins directory pointing to your Java plugin file. (This is part of installing Java, and is not specific to Gmaj.)
- If your dataset is large, you may need to instruct Java to give Gmaj more memory. See Starting and Running Gmaj: Memory Allocation for details.
- I keep a list of people to be notified about new releases. If you would like to be included, just let me know.
I hope you will give Gmaj a try. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
